The author had adopted an unusual method to explicate the various aspects of Philosophy of Science in Tantric perspective. It is an adroit attempt in analyzing this novel theme. Emphasis is laid on integrative approach towards acquiring and enhancing know- ledge. With aid of Telic principles (Teleology), it is shown that domain of holistic meta-science of Tantra Agamas encompasses the various branches of philosophy of science.

This work is a logical development of the idea in the companion book, 'Science and Tantra Yoga' Vishal Publications, Kurukshetra by the same author.

Original author of the book Late Dr, Ajit Kumar Sinha M.A. Ph.D. (Illinois), formerly Head of Philosophy Department, Kurukshetra University prepared this work in manuscript form but could not get it published in his lifetime. The same has been compiled and edited in present form.

Although analytical proof of all the debatable aspects dealt in may not be available at present, it may be remarked here that White- head was correct in observing that 'It is not essential that proof of truth should constitute the first introduction to the idea.'

Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha was born at Khaspur in West Bengal (India) His father Late Jadunath Sinha Ph.D. PRS was well known for his invaluable contributions in fields of Indian Philosophy, Psychology and Religion.

Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha obtained his Ph.D degree in Philosophy from University of Illinois, U.S.A. in 1955. He was an original thinker. His main contribution to the world of Philosophical thought was his theory of Telic principles (Teleology)

Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha retired as Professor of Philosophy from Kurukshetra University (INDIA). His biographical sketch appeared in 'Who's Who in World' published by Marquis Publications U.S.A. He published twenty (20) books and contributed about 110 articles in different Research Journals published from India, USA, Varna (Bulgaria), London (U.K.) and Canada.

Some of his unpublished writings are being compiled and edited.

Philosophy and science.

Science and Philosophy are complimentary to each other. A proper balanced synthesis between scientific analysis and philosophical contemplation is necessary to find solutions to mysteries of the Universe and the Nature. Whereas, Science has tried to analyze the structure and riddles of Nature as it appears and solve its deep-rooted mysteries, Philosophy contemplates on foundation of Nature and tries to find the purpose and meaning of Nature.

Scientific explanation commenced with description of various phenomena of the Nature. The primary aim of descriptive function of scientific explanation consists of analyzing the data of experience. Then reorganize these data into meaningful patterns.

Scientific knowledge is ever growing. It is acquired through observation and experiment. It can be critically examined, logically synthesized and subsumed under general principles and laws. Scientific knowledge is objective, precise, systematic, logically consistent, linguistically clear, necessary, general, abstract and universal.

Science has been able to throw significant light on foundations of knowledge. The Classical theory, Quantum theory, Special and general theories of Relativity, theories of genetics and big bang theory have opened new vistas of knowledge.
