Preface Ayurveda Seminars are conducted by the Arya Vaidya Sala every year. The practice was started in 1964 as a tribute to the revered memory of the founder Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier. In the earlier years they were held in Kottakkal on the Founder's death anniversary which falls on the January 30h. But it was felt that a greater participation of workers in the medical field and the general public can be had if the venue was shifted to the district headquarters in the state and so the last seminar was held at Tagore Centenary Hall, Kozhikode on Sunday, October 16, 2011.

We express our heartfelt thanks to the people in the medical field for their sincere efforts to making the seminar a successful and we dedicate these seminar papers to them.
