Statues of Lord Krishna

Lord Krishna is indeed one of the most popular of all Hindu deities. He is certainly the most worshipped God in India; the unique feature in Krishna’s puja being that He is not only worshipped in temples, but also in the privacy of personal altars across millions of Hindu homes. Krishna’s devotees lovingly worship Him by dressing up His statues and offering Him food and other ritual items as prescribed by the Vedic scriptures.

The most popular representation of Lord Krishna in sculptures shows Him playing His flute. Such statues are called ‘Venu-Vadaka Krishna’. When there is a cow accompanying the flute-playing Krishna, then He is known as ‘Venu-Gopala’, signifying that Krishna is the protector of cows. Not only cows, Krishna also enchants the milk-maidens of Vraja, the primary of whom is Radha Ji, who can also be seen as a worthy companion to statues of Krishna.

Often in sculptures, Srimati Radharani accompanies Krishna’s rhythms from the flute with a graceful dance of her own. Another group of charming sculptures depict Krishna as a small, mischievous and adorable boy, engaged in various pranks, most commonly stealing butter on the stealth from the houses of the gopis of Vrindavana. In this gallery are available for purchase the largest collection of Krishna statues on the internet. Here you can buy sculptures of the Lord in brass, bronze, marble and other stones and all types of wood.

Q1. Do you have Kalinga Krishna?

Yes, we have several statues of Kalinga Krishna (Sri Krishna dancing on Kaliya) available on our website. These statues are made from only the purest bronze, brass, wood, and stone and perfectly capture the aesthetic beauty of dancing Krishna.

Q2. Is Krishna statue good for home?

Lord Krishna is the ocean of mercy and compassion. According to the Vedic literature, He is the Supreme Lord and therefore the cause of all causes. It is believed that the goal of human life is to surrender unto the Lotus feet of Lord Shri Krishna. Thus, keeping His statue at home helps us always remember His transcendental form “Sat-Cit-ananda”. We can offer our prayers before Him which helps us build a sweet relationship with Him. Lord Krishna is only bound by our love and devotion toward Him and His statue acts as a medium to serve Him.

Q3. Which type of Krishna idol is good for home?

Lord Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. His name, form, pastimes, and paraphernalia are all transcendental. Therefore, there is no difference between Him and His form. Engaging in His loving devotional service is the purpose of this human life. There are primarily 5 Rasas or mellow in which the devotees approach Lord Krishna:

1.) Shanta Rasa (reverence)

2.) Dasya Rasa (loving service)

3.) Sakhya Rasa (friendship)

4.) Vatsalya Rasa (parental affection)

5.) Madhurya Rasa (conjugal love).

Keeping any type of Krishna idol at home according to the mood of our relationship with Him is considered very auspicious.

Q4. Can we keep Krishna idol in the Tulsi plant?

Tulsi is a plant believed to be sacred to Lord Vishnu and also His wife Lakshmi and hence revered by every Hindu and worshiped. The idol of Krishna made of marble or metal may be placed in the tulsi plant as it would not be damaged due to the daily offering of water and many other things to Mata Tulsi.

An earthen idol would be damaged, so this should not be placed in, but could be placed outside or near the Tulsi –pot. On the sacred day of Tulsi and Krishna's marriage, a small idol of Krishna is also kept near the Tulsi plant and worshiped as the bride and groom, and get married.

Q5. Can we worship Krishna alone?

Yes, Lord Krishna can be worshiped alone. The Vedic scriptures mention that the ultimate goal of human life is to develop a love for Him. Lord Shri Krishna is the reservoir of all pleasure and is the cause of all causes. Thus, engaging in His loving devotional service following the injunctions of the Shastra is the perfection of our life.
