Goddess Durga is one of the main female deities in Hinduism. She is worshiped as a slayer of Evil and the protector and mother goddess of people. Devi Durga symbolizes the positive energy and divine force known as Shakti. She is another manifestation of Prakriti or Shakti. Maa Durga Statues protect your home with negative energy.

★ Starting from day 1 – day 9 - Desi Ghee; Sugar; Kheer; Malpua; Banana; Honey; Jaggery; Coconut and on the last day- Devotees on this day, break their nine-day fast and worship all the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Dishes like halwa, puri, and chana are offered to the goddesses as bhog.
★ Tuesday is dedicated to Maa Durga for a general daily puja. She awards liberation from all sorts of negativities and lack of peace of mind.
One of the best ways to appease her is by chanting her mantras, which are extremely powerful and they can transform the devotee’s life.
One should place the statue of goddess Durga according to the prescribed guidelines by the Vastu Shastra and the Vedas - Puranas to ensure the goddess gets her rightful place to offer prosperity.
For this, a separate Pooja room in the home is better. But, if that is not possible, one should make a separate enclosure in the home or inside a room that looks like a mini room. Never keep the Hindu God Idols in the bedroom.
The puja room or the altar for Maa Durga ought to be arranged on the northern side of the home; if the northern side isn't accessible, you need to choose between the east and northeast corners.
The puja room should be east-facing. The puja altar should be at a height above the bed level. Never place the idol adjacent to or beneath the toilet area.
