This Nepali stole is a beautiful fusion of Nepali Pashmina textile and Gujarati tie and dye print. The fabric that has been used for this stole is woven by Nepali artists. The making process of the stole includes skilled artisans who spin, weave, and dye the wool by hand. Usually, Nepali artists use block printings on their fabrics. But on this stole Nepali artisans have experimented with the print by adapting Gujarati Tie and dye technique to print it. In this technique the cloth is folded, allowing the pattern to be mirrored and repeated across all sections of the cloth. The entire cloth is submerged in boiling dye for a while before washing and sun drying. This method can be repeated several times till you get the favorable colors and patterns. Patterns are eventually generated from the little circles where the fabric is concentrated.
