As if to create a faultless abode for the powers of Jagadamba (the mother of the Universe)- Durga, the sculptor of this superfine brass statue has crafted a masterpiece.
With intricate details, a lustrous finish, and the countenance of the goddess that lightens up with the most beautiful smile, the aesthetic appeal of the icon is such that with its form no more than a few inches, it transcends the aura that any gigantic image could ever create. The finesse of execution speaks for the creative perfection of the artist, who with devotion has realized the warrior-goddess’s form.
The neatness of the icon makes one forget about the tedious process of molding, cutting, polishing, and welding that a brass artwork goes through.
