The Auspicious Presence of Lord Shiva

Bring the divine presence of Lord Shiva into your home with this exquisite brass statue. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this masterpiece embodies the supreme deity of destruction and transformation, seated in a serene meditative pose. Lord Shiva, the Mahayogi, is revered as the creator, preserver, and destroyer of the universe, a powerful paradox embodying the cyclical nature of existence. His presence is believed to bring peace, protection, and spiritual awakening. The statue depicts Shiva seated on a lotus, a symbol of purity and spiritual enlightenment, which rises from a base adorned with a fierce lion's face. This formidable visage represents his power to overcome all negativity and evil. Shiva is adorned with his characteristic snake coiled around his neck, symbolizing control over ego and Kundalini energy. Cascading locks of hair, a crescent moon adorning his forehead, and the Ganga river flowing from his tresses are all depicted with remarkable artistry, reflecting his divine attributes and cosmic significance. The tranquil expression on his face, with eyes closed in deep meditation, emanates an aura of profound peace and inner stillness. ––––––––––––––––––

Symbolism and Sacred Resonance

Dominating the backdrop of this sacred sculpture is the sacred syllable "OM" (AUM), the primordial sound from which all creation emanates. This universally recognized symbol represents the Trimurti – Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva – as well as the states of waking, dreaming, and deep sleep, with the fourth state, Turiya, being the transcendental consciousness. The Om symbol is not merely a symbol; it is considered the sound of the universe itself, a conduit to connect with the divine and achieve spiritual oneness. Its placement behind Shiva amplifies his role as the ultimate reality, the source and end of all. In one hand, Lord Shiva holds his iconic trident, the Trishul, representing the three fundamental gunas (Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas) and the three aspects of time – past, present, and future. It signifies his power to destroy ignorance, illusion, and negativity. His other hand is raised in the Abhaya Mudra, a gesture of blessing and reassurance, dispelling fear and offering protection to his devotees. This divine icon serves as a constant reminder of Shiva's protective grace and his power to guide us through life's challenges. This brass statue is more than just an artifact; it is a vessel of divine energy, meticulously crafted to inspire devotion and contemplation. Its radiant finish and intricate details make it a stunning centerpiece for any altar, meditation room, or living space. Embrace the spiritual power and artistic brilliance of this Lord Shiva statue and invite divine blessings into your life.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
