This Fifty-Four Wicks Aarti lamp is commonly referred to as a Ganga Aarti lamp. It is a five-tiered lamp with a Dhoop Dhaan crown and a container to burn the coconut husk and produce smoke. This was inspired by the usual nightly Pooja at Varanasi's Ganga Ghats, India's oldest city. This piece is constructed of brass, a holy metal that is widely used in prayer accessories. This lamp is made of brass. Multiple aartis can be lit at the same time (up to forty-four wicks). The wicks are sharp and there are sophisticated carvings on the channels connecting the lamps and the stand. The two stands connected to the handle are useful for carrying the lamp during the aarti and also placing it safely after the aarti is completed.
