This brass lamp is an essential component of the sixteen-step Shodash Upchar, which includes the Deeparati, in which the lamp is revolved clockwise in front of the deities. It has a one-of-a-kind Kirtimukha arch construction and a religious emblem of a peacock sitting beneath the arch. Behind the arch, there are five holes where cotton wicks soaked in ghee are inserted and the aarti ceremony is performed. The lamp has a stand similar to conventional lights, but no oil basin. These lamps are thought to be utilized for Shodasha Upchara Shiva Puja Vidhi.
