When Radha-Krishna move in the divine ecstasy of Rasa, the entire Srishti dances with them, nourished by their gracious presence. Envisioning the ambiance of Rasa with ancient aesthetics, this wooden statue of Radha-Krishna presents the duo striking mesmerizing postures, standing underneath a lush tree, on which Kama's mount- parrot, is perched to drink the nectar of the Jugal-jodi's heart-warming Prema.
Dressed in exquisite Vaishnava mukuta and beautiful ornaments, Krishna in this wooden sculpture appears in a red-hued form, contrasted by the moon-white physique of Sri Radha. Both of them have their legs raised up, infusing the composition with a blissful dynamism. The artist used the traditional trope of Shalabhanjika (a woman touching a branch of a tree, causing it to yield flowers and fruits), in the image of Radha, whose right hand gently reaches the vegetation above, recreating the delicate symbolism of woman as the source of fecundity in nature.
