A larger-than-life lamp, sculpted from pure brass. The resplendent gold colour of its body would glisten with the light of numerous lamps of ghee, seeking the presence of the highest deities into your household. Such a lamp would be an auspicious addition to the home decor of the finest devotees.
It is a peacock lamp with a curvaceous stem. Along the engraved stem, equidistant from each other, are structures resembling the sealed mouth of goblets. From the surfaces of those emerge a network of gracefully curving vine. At the mouth of each vine are two five-wick dia-trays, one poised above and the other dangling downwards.
The peacock motif is in abundance across this composition. There is, of course, one at the zenith with a relatively larger five-wick dia-tray below its feet. All the dia-trays of this lamp (which are not dangling by a chain) have a peacock of miniscule but precisely carved proportions, sitting on a plinth at the centre.
