The head of Shiva, carved from crystal. White translucence adding to the mystical quality of the ascetic deity. The composure of countenance is one of deep samadhi - shut-eyed, a divine smile playing in the corners of the lips.
The fluid Ganga cascading down Shiva’s head and shoulders. Up untill where She starts, the Lord’s neatly gathered tresses have been projected using sharp serrations on the crystal medium, giving off an impression of density.
The samadhi-steeped face of Shiva is flanked by a pair of snakes with their hoods raised. As any devotee would know, Shiva iconography is incomplete without the presence of snakes. Down the front of His neck, the semblance of a Shivalingam.
