Lord Krishna is the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and he is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness and love. The sculpture of Lord Kirshna has four arms, each of which holds a flute, a conch, and a discus. He is seen standing in a mesmerising position with one leg over the other playing the flute with a cow behind him. His facial expression and flute-playing motion create the impression that he is also engrossed in the music’s enchanted power, which gives his face an ethereal light. His bottom garment is a short dhoti, and he is heavily ornamented with a Vaijantimala (long floral garment), anklets, a crown in the traditional Orissan style, heavy necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. The divine presence of Lord Krishna draws followers into the realm of transcendental delight and spiritual enlightenment by inspiring love, devotion, and eternal bliss.
