Cast in copper, this Karuwa is a traditional Nepalese and North Indian vessel, usually used for serving water, and beverages. In the shape of a pot with a little opening of a pipe - its stout shape almost makes it appear like a kettle. Karuwa is an important object for the ritualistic aspects of not just Nepalese weddings but also Karuwa Chauth observed by women across Nepal and India for their husbands.
