Ganesha, also known as Ganapati Bappa and Vinayaka, is an elephant-headed Hindu god. His name translates into “lord of the people” and “lord of the categories”.
He is the son of Shiva and consort Parvati, and the brother of Karthikeya. He is the patron of arts and writings in the Hindu culture.
He is worshipped before enterprises and is also regarded as the patron of intellectuals, bankers, authors, etc as he is known to be the god of wealth, sciences, knowledge, prosperity, and wisdom.
In some divisions of India, Ganesha is considered celibate, in others, he is married to Siddhi (success), and Buddhi (intelligence), and in the remaining, he is said to be married to Riddhi (prosperity).
