This exquisite Deepastambham, or lamp tower, is made of brass. It is divided into several sections that require further examination. On top of the lamp is a revered depiction of Lord Ganesha seated on a lotus platform, representing his function as the supplier of prosperity and knowledge. There are several more components to the light. The stem of the lights is made up of pieces that are decorated with various ornamental objects. To boost the auspiciousness, bells are affixed to each level, and motifs of peacock and Ganesha masks are attached to each tier.
The foundation is constructed of numerous lights and supports that resemble lion paws, which is typical of ritual things designed for royalty. This sort of lamp was created specifically for regal reasons such as coronation celebrations, where the room needs to be filled with blessings. These lights can now be lighted to allow the almighty's blessings to flow freely.
