This brass statue depicts the magnificent Goddess Lakshmi in a blessing gesture, exquisitely painted in a beautiful white color that resembles the Sharad Chandrima or the full moon of the Sharad. The statue showcases the Goddess standing gracefully in the tribhanga pose, a classic stance that adds a sense of elegance and dynamism.
In her upper hands, she holds two blooming lotuses, symbolizing purity and spiritual power. Her two lower hands are positioned in the Abhaya and Varada mudra, gestures representing protection and the granting of boons. Goddess Lakshmi is adorned in stunning clothes, and a delicate waist ornament beautifully dangles from her waist, enhancing her divine appearance.
Goddess Lakshmi stands on a lotus pedestal, further signifying her association with purity, beauty, and prosperity. A lovely mukut (crown) adorns her head, while the makar kundala droops from her ears, completing her regal and serene look.
The statue makes us recite the shlokas that mention the praises of the Goddess-
"Hey Goddess, whose feet are like blood red lotus, Hey Goddess who blesses with all heavenly powers, Oh Holy one who wears divine silk clothes,
"Oh, Goddess who shines in the divine garland, Hey Goddess who has all good qualities, Hey Goddess who is blessed with all good qualities, Oh Goddess of wealth, whose face is like the full moon of spring, Oh Goddess with eyes like the blue lotus."
These verses celebrate her divine attributes, her bestowal of blessings, and her eternal beauty.
