Amitabha, also known as Amitayus when associated with bestowing longevity, is honored as "Infinite Life." He is adorned with regal ornaments and a crown, clasping the ambrosia vase, symbolizing the jewels of eternal life.
Aparmita is in the full lotus pose, cradling the "amrita" vessel in his lap, signifying immortality. Longevity is of great significance in Tibetan Buddhism, making Aparmita a central figure in rituals aimed at extending life. The vessel on her lap is filled with a healing elixir or a kalasha. Aparmita is invoked during ceremonies dedicated to increasing one's lifespan.
