Assuming the attitude of a powerful Simha (lion) who is his mount, Drishti Ganapati wards off evil and protects his devotee from the obstacles of Kaliyuga.
According to legends of South India, Drishti Ganapati is an aspect of the Hindu Lord, which appeared to bless the austerities of sage Agasthya, who established Ganesha as the supreme guardian.
In this bronze statue, Drishti Ganesha has an ashtabhuja or eight-armed form, to fight off any enemy that approaches his Bhakta.
The attitude and stance of Ganesha are elegant and powerful, ornamented by a serpent-hood embellished aura, a third eye, a stern gaze, and serpents wrapped around his plump body. An exquisitely sculpted inverted lotus throne, symbolizing the Universe, is the seat of this statue of Drishti Ganesha, sculpted in a rounded manner to allow the devotee to view the splendor of their divine protector.
