Vajrasattva is the Buddha of purification, representing cosmic consciousness, emptiness, and bliss. His name translates to "Diamond Being" or "Thunderbolt Being," and the vajra, a symbol of Esoteric Buddhism, is closely associated with him.
Vajrasattva has a youthful, gentle, and radiant face, adorned in golden silk garments and princely jewelry of red and blue color. His posture is graceful, resembling Natarajasana (dancer's pose).
In his right hand, he holds a gold vajra or Dorje to his heart, symbolizing compassion and method, while in his left hand, he holds an upturned ghanta, a bell with a vajra handle, representing wisdom. The combination of compassion and wisdom is essential for achieving Buddhahood.
