Vajrasattva holds great importance in the tantric Buddhism of the Newar community in the Kathmandu Valley.
In his right hand, he gently cradles a vajra close to his heart, symbolizing Reality and Compassion, while his left hand supports a bell at his waist, representing Wisdom. Seated in the vajra posture with a straight posture, he is poised upon a moon disc resting on a lotus pedestal. His resplendent appearance is adorned with various types of jewelry, including a magnificent crown embellished with five precious stones, bracelets, and long necklaces. He is also draped in golden silks, exuding a youthful and calm countenance.
