The structure of a stupa is symbolically layered with profound elemental representations. At its base lies a circular foundation symbolizing the earth element, followed by a domed structure above, signifying water. Atop the dome rests a cone, representing the element of fire. Crowning this cone is a crescent, denoting air, and within this crescent, a flame symbolizes the ether element. The narrowing of the flame's form to a singular point can also be interpreted as a representation of consciousness, introducing a sixth element into the symbolism.
