Vajrasattva, whose name translates to the diamond being in Sanskrit is the Boddhisattva for realizing the purest form of enlightenment. An essential figure in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism - Vajrasattva’s root mantra in Buddhist Tantra is Dorje Gyan. In this Nepalese Statue, Vajrasattva sits in Padmasana holding the Dorje, to his heart chakra and Dril-Bu in his other hand. With these possessions, he is believed to strike the callowness down and invoke compassion, guiding us in the message of spiritual truth.
