With the dignity of an Indian scholar, Vivekananda stands upright. Clothed in saffron, with a turban to match, he looks away from the viewer. His approach to simple living is apparent from his attire as also from the simple wooden sandals. A perfectly oval face displays determination and firm resolve. His body language also speaks the same tongue. He stands on the banks of the river, the purity of which has been vouched for, through the ages. He seems accustomed to the boulders on the banks of river as well as the banks of life. His portrait against the clear blue sky dispels any doubt one would have about the dignity and integrity of Vivekanand.
The artist has painted a pale but luminous halo around his head, denoting wisdom and supreme knowledge.
