Pravin Mhase is a known artist of Warli. He was born into the famous Mhase family known for revving the Warli art.  This Painting of River Flowing in the Village is a traditional Warli art made traditionally with Cow Dung and Acrylic on Manjarpat Cloth. Manjarpat is a low-quality, muslin-like cloth. It has limited absorbency and shrinks after washing. It is believed to be the best cloth for absorbing cod dung and making the canvas. The painting is highly traditional and holds a community emotion into it.

The dark green base showcases the rural life and the daily activities of people residing in the area with the help of motifs made of white acrylic paint. The river meanders through the village, depicted with earthy tones and organic textures. The use of cow dung adds a cultural richness while acrylic enhances vibrancy. Mhase's composition becomes a testament to the symbiotic relationship between nature and rural life, celebrating the artist's ingenuity in merging unconventional materials with a timeless portrayal of scenic serenity and traditional ethos.
