Regardless of the title you give her, Namgyalma or Ushnisha Vijaya is highly respected for her ability to eliminate bad karma, especially that which arises from taking a life. Usually depicted with three faces, this stands for the capacity to remove barriers and heal all ailments in the three domains. Her eight limbs and white head symbolize her capacity to act empathetically on multiple levels at once, signifying her ability to avert tragedies. The blue face symbolizes her ability to defeat enemies, and the yellow face stands for lifespan granter. Her forehead's third eye represents her desire, empathy, and capacity to perceive all pain. Her nine eyes stand for both her ability to lead us to liberty and her accomplishment of the nine degrees of enlightenment.
