This glorious watercolour composition reveals us the beauty of Vaishnava devotion as here we can see that ‘Shri Nathji’ is surrounded by his ‘Ashtachaap’ devotees also known as Asthsakhas who are engaged in the service of Shrinath ji by singing melodious padas (poems in Vrajbhashas) glorifying Guru and Govind and the sweetness of this music has also been expressed by the spiritual blooming lotuses with their stems all over the painting. Out of these, the disciples of Shri Vallabhacharya are Kumbhandas, Surdas, Krishnadas and Parmananddas while Gosaji’s disciples are Govind Swami, Cheet Swami, Chaturbhuj Das and Nand Das Ji.
In the middle Mahaprabhu Shri Vallabhacharya (The establisher of the Pushtimarg Paishnav Parampara) stands in the right of Shrinathji while his son Gausaiji Vithalnathji stands in the left along with Radha Rani and Yamuna ji on both the sides behind them.
There is one special thing about these poets, which is, that all of them are self realised devotional saints who creates poetry from their fully comprehended and personal experiences of their beloved Thakorji (a loving name of Supreme Godhead Krishna) as it is mentioned in the 84 and 252 vaishnav vartas of Pushti Sect. The floral printed border looks awesome and fantastic.
