A compact, traditional-style temple. Portable around one’s home or office space. Sculpted in perfect symmetry from wood; dyed a charcoal black colour. The iconography is a two-dimensional Tanjore painting of Lord Krishna, waited upon by His two wives, Rukmini and Satyabhama.
The childlike, maakhan-loving roopa of Lord Krishna, sprawled on a velvet-upholstered couch. A pot of butter-made goodies in the crevice of His left arm, the right hand having fished one of the goodies out to put in His mouth. Standing on either side of the throne, the fair hands of Rukmini wield a parrot, while those of Satyabhama hold up a lotus.
A temple structure, executed with thick gold-layered gessowork, within the wooden temple structure. Deep blue, orange, and cream colours that bring out the glittering gold colour of the metallic embellishment.
