By engaging in Buddhist meditation, the patterns and habits of mind could be learned to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. With regular work and patience, these nourishing, focused states of mind can deepen into profoundly peaceful and energized states of mind. Buddha taught two basic meditations: the Mindfulness of Breathing and Loving-Kindness (Metta Bhavana) Lord Buddha gave a “Discourse on the Establishing of Mindfulness.” So when Buddhist talks about mindfulness of the breath—in meditation, for example—they’re talking about remembering the breath, maintaining your awareness of the breath.
This adorable Buddha‘s long U –shaped face is excellently painted on canvas in radiant golden color with a slight pinkish tint. Depicted on his charming face are the Soothing lotus flower-like eyes closed in dhyana / meditative posture, the lengthened thin nose, and the usually elongated earlobes to hear the sufferings to be cured. Perfectly deep grey matted hair locks on the head, shown partially falling on the forehead with a magnetic small round Tinka are captivating. The serenity & calmness emanates from this colorful painting.
Also portrayed is a monk who has covered his body with a striking dark brown robe with a small yellow pouch at its bottom, and with a cool burning lamp in his fingers. The monk is worshiping Buddha while reciting some mantras with his eyes closed. The clean-shaved head of the monk has been shown in light black color. On the left side of the painting, that is, on the right side of the monk, the burning flame of many lamps is shown in yellow-orange color. This shows that many other sadhus have already worshiped Buddha.
