In India, ritual objects are not mere objects used for serving purposes; they are sometimes works of art. This Ritual Chowki, made in brass, is a work of art. It carries the traditional structure of a table or chowki. For example, the stands of the chowki are made in the form of a centrally attached tripod. The top of the chowki is filled with engravings of tiny flowers arranged in the Jaal pattern—an intelligent use of flora and fauna motifs to decorate the table. Additionally, ghungroos are attached to the table corners to enhance the look and give the piece a happy vibe.
