God is Sarvagna (all- knower). He is the judge and the reward giver of our deeds or actions. He does not have any of the worldly attributes. He is also called Nirgun, because he is beyond any attributes of Maya.
We worship the creator of universe in two ways. One to the lord with physical attributes and another way is to worship the formless one. Bhajans may be “Sagun” or “Nirgun”. “Sagun” means “ with attributes” and a Sagun Bhajan speaks of a God with attributes like name, form and characters. “ Nirgun” Means “ Without attribute” and a Nirgun Bhajan alludes to a nameless, formless and characterless Almighty. It is believed that by chanting Sagun Bhajans you will gain your worldly wishes as the form of deity is so, that it works in your mind and around you. Nirgun bhajans are on the formless God, by chanting it unbind us from the worldly desires and lift to the eternal nothing.
