A skilled maestro of Rajasthani folk singing & instrumental music, “Chugge Khan”, derives the rich pedigree of Manganiar Family which is Muslim communities in the desert of Rajasthan, India in the district of Barmer and Jaisalmer. The Manganiars consider themselves descendants of the Rajputs and are renowned as highly skilled folk musicians of the Thar Desert. Their songs are passed on from generation to generation as a form of oral history of the desert.
Chugge Khan is nothing but the personification of those spiritual perfect arts. The rich levels of Mangniyar singing & instrumental music peeps perfectly well through his sonorous singing as well as music. Chugge has mastered traditional Rajasthani instruments like Morchang, Khartal & Bhappang. Besides he is well equipped with sharp skills of a writer/lyricist of Rajasthani Folk songs. Not only Rajasthani folk but Chugge has a great command over Sufi, Punjabi & fusion music. He has gone thru passionate singing of devotional as well as other types of Qawwalies.
Music started to flow within Chugge Khan’s blood since the early age of four & he started to perform in foreign countries since the age of thirteen. Chugge has secured a great renown not only in India but also throughout the world. With countless performances, he has enhanced many major parts of the world like France, Spain, Itly, Japan, Thailand, U.S.A., U.K., Australia, South Africa, U.A.E., Germany and so on. On the other hand some major events in India like Common Wealth Games, Delhi, Little’s Festival Delhi, Sufi Festival Mumbai, Virasat Festival by Jaipur Virasat Foundations, RIFF festival Jodhpur with Indian Ocean and Jaipur Literature Festival expanded his glorious talent to the extremes. The ways of Chugge’s fame stroke the doors of renowned Bollywood composer A.R. Rahman. Chugge had an honor to perform with this legendary Oscar winner of India & also along with world’ fastest drummer, Shiv Mani.
