It is not enough if time is set aside for the purpose but there should be proper setting in the environment. Here comes the role of the ancient Chinese are and science or may we term it as philosophy called Fengshui.
The main philosophy behind Feng Shui is that the environment influences the productivity success, health, relationship and creativity.
Feng Shui (pronounced as Fong Shwai) is about the relationship between humans and environment. It is about how everything is connected and effects the well being of the human race. Based on the laws of nature its theories offer us a way of understanding why certain things occur and how to create a comfortable environment that lets us live and work efficiently and progressively.
Feng Shui is based on five elements theory. Everything is made of “qi” (Pronounced Chee) or energy cycle which is organized into five elements metal fire, water and earth. These are not static physical elements but energies like frequencies which have a direction and unique length.
This explains why ‘qi’ or energy cycle changes from phase to phase and is sufficient proof that everything around is connected and has the potential effect to one’s well being. Feng Shui is a multi disciplinary study encompassing architecture geography, astrology, electro magnetism, landscape, designs environmental psychology urban planning etc. all focused towards creating the right environment for human beings to live in harmony.
Only in an environment which brings in its wake an atmosphere of tranquility and serenity can we have a direct experience of the truth through contemplation. Feng Shui enables us to organize our homes in a manner harmonious with the forces of nature or the five elements so that ‘qi’ or life force energy has free movement and is neither allowed to stagnate or accelerate too quickly.
While dealing with harmony it is essential to seriously consider the effects of sound as ears are the most sensitive among the sensory organs. Vibrating sounds form patters and create energy fields of resistance and movement n the surrounding space. The human system absorbs these energies which suitably alter our breath pulse blood pleasure muscle tension, skin temperature and other vital rhythms. Vibrations transmitted by sound can affect a person both positively and negatively. The sound of music that is soothing creates positive vibration and such music in a surrounding conforming to Feng Shui adds value to life force energy in homes leading to enhancement in the quality of life and living style.
