The Gaddis of Himachal Pradesh are a Sheep herding community who live and travel in the higher reaches of the Dholadhar range of the western Himalayas. The most feature of the Gaddi terrain is Mount Mani Mahesh Kailash. Towering as a beacon it symbolizes the community’s spiritual as well as material life. The film transforms the physical landscape into a cultural text, through which the people contemplate and speak about themselves society and the divine.
