To save his only son ramesh (Farooque Sheikh) from getting spolit Kailashpati decides to get him married. In this endeavor he meets westernized girls. Disappointed decides he would get his son married to a girl who does not speak English nd is traditional in all ways. But Ramesh goes to lalaji (Saeed Jafferi) his father’s friends for help. Lalaji suggests to trick Kailashpati by portraying Ramola as a daughter of village pundit. Everything goes according to their plan. They get married and then starts a storm of events to live the lie. Ramola does this for the sake of her love.
