Religious ritual in Hinduism revolves around devotion and ultimate identification of the worshipper with God. Every religion demands purity of body and mind before prayers and rituals. Wearing special clothes or angavastrams just help the process.

Lovers of Krishna can think of nothing by the supreme personality of Godhead. The turmeric yellow field has 'Radhe' printed all over in red colour. 'Radhe' is written in Devnagari script. Radha was Krishna's beloved in the erotic mystic poetry of Vaishnavism. But there was more to it than meets the eye. Radha was the soul yearning for union with God, who is none other than Krishna.

On the red border on all sides is 'Radhe' inscribed in yellow and on the vertical border, the same stands in very bold letters. In the center of the field are four rectangular sections with the image of Balagopala sitting amidst jars full of butter. His fondness for butter gave rise to many joyful stories. Here, he sits adorned with jewellery. His unruly hairs have been knotted up with a peacock feather inserted in to keep the hair in place. His hands and face are smudged with butter.

The cloth speaks of utter devotion towards Krishna and his beloved Radha and the wearer seeks similar union with god.
