Q1. What is a Tantric goddess?

In Tantra, the supreme reality is characterized as the primeval goddess or Adi-Shakti, Prakriti, whose innumerable forms empower the task of creating, nurturing, and annihilating the world, alongside the primordial male element- Purusha. A Tantric goddess is the potent manifestation of the powers and different roopa (forms) of the Adi Shakti worshipped by her followers for significant material and spiritual gains. These goddesses can either be worshipped in clusters- Dasa Mahavidya (Ten Great Wisdoms), Chausatha Yogini (64 members of the Great Goddess’s army) or individually as Mahakali, Tara, Vajrayogini, Kamala, and Tripurasundari.
