Preface Diabetes is a huge problem and is steadily increasing due to lifestyle changes, pollution, diet habits and many more known & unknown contributory factors. What makes it even worse is that it is a lifelong disease with potential to cause life threatening complications, if not treated. The treatment in itself is simple and easy but the stigma and misconceptions around it are a major hurdle. Informal care givers/quacks are selling the false hopes of an absolute cure at the cost of the lives of patients. We believe this problem may be solved to a large extent with a fair advise, removing all prejudices, affordable treatment and patient education.

This book is our attempt to educate the general public at large about the ill effects of diabetes and help them take control of their own health. This book will empower the current and prospective diabetes patients to live a fruitful life with diabetes.
