Why be sad?
To many of us, trapped in the travails of stressful living, our problems appear insurmountable; peace and happiness are elusive goals; in the words of the poet, the world is too much with us! There is a secret of joyful living, a mantra of peaceful existence that Rev. Dada shares with us through this collection – the sixth in a series of discoursed he has delivered over a period of time: the secret is – to make the Lord our refuge and to simply hand over all our problems to him in a spirit of childlike trust and faith.
Rev. Dada urges us to walk the way of acceptance and surrender – to tear aside the veil of the ego and behold Him face to face and ask Him for all we need. And when we hand over our lives to Him in loving surrender, we too, will realise with rev. Dada, that there is no reason whatever to be sad!
To hear Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani in the serene and sanctified environment of the satsang is to feel energized, inspired, internally cleansed. Thousands upon thousands of people who have been privileged to be in his satsang or to participate in the sadhana camps of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, have been captivated by the power of his words. Generous in sharing his wisdom and insights, patient and understanding of human foibles, non-judgmental in his attitude, Rev. Dada is also a powerful orator and a brilliant communicator.
For millions of readers who have not been privileged to be a part of his satsang, there is an ongoing series of books in which his Sindhi talks are being brought out in English translation. This book is the sixth volume in that collection - an earnest attempt to translate his spoken message into the written word, while retaining the flavor and spirit of the original. The volumes in this series are being offered to all seekers and aspirants, whom Rev. Dada regards as his friends and fellow pilgrims on the journey of life.
