Initially in December 2000, he joined in Alva's Ayurveda Medical College Moodbirdi, Karnataka as a lecturer. Then on April 2004, he joined in Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College & Hospital, Nazarathpet, Chennai-602103.
In October 2004, he was selected as Govt. Ayurveda Medical Officer. Health & Family Welfare Dept. Orissa. However, he thought of writing some good books, which will not be easy enough, if he leaves the teaching profession. Then he rejected the offer and continued the teaching profession in Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College, Nazarathpet, and Chennai.
In September 2007, he was promoted as reader, due to his exemplary academic career.
Ayurveda has a very rich and ancient heritage. To the youngsters of today it has to be taught in an objective and comprehensive form. The multiple and short questions form the backbone of all competitive exams. To prepare all students for such exams with confidence lies in the hands of the teaching faculty.
Undoubtedly, Dr.P.K.Moharana has adopted this path to educate the students and this is not his first venture. His flow of thoughts has come out in the form of book such as "Viva In Rachana Shareera". I congratulate him for this achievement and wish that he authors many more books. I am sure that this work by the young and energetic author will be well received by the student community.
However, viva-voce continues to be the most popular technique. Whatever a student learns he or she is judged by his or her ability to reply questions in oral test. The need for such a handy title, to equip an examiner for rapid revision in the subject before the practical examinations has long been felt. I hope Viva in Rachana Shareera in its original form satisfies the aforementioned requirement.
The books is not intended to be a substitute for standard text books but aims to equip the students with probable questions and their exact answers. So that they perform better than who just grope in dark. The questions are selected from author's experience to enable students to know important and relevant aspects of each topic and perform well in viva-voce. The book has also incorporated the applied aspects of some clinically related questions.
The author will be duly rewarded if the book comes up to the expectations of examinees and those who want to have some basic concept on Rachana Shareera (Anatomy).
I express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to The Principal, Vice Principal, and all the teaching staffs of SJS Ayurveda College for their constructive criticism.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to V.Sathya, P.Usha Rani, Dr. S. Rout and DR. C.R. Das for their constant help to bring out the book.
To my wife Suneeta and daughter Prateeksha without whose love, support and encouragement, I could ever been able to complete this book.
