It is with great pride and privilege that I set to say about this religious text, 'Vedic Cult: Applied Science' written by one of my learned staff Prof. Pandey. Ordinarily, the fact that scientists are indifferent towards religion gets firm stand because the Supreme Being does not stand to laboratory experimentation or apparently evident line of analysis. But here is a performance that Prof. V. P. Pandey, a student of applied science has brought in the existence of an analytic text on the basis of the attainments of science today that the Supreme Being can be understood by the human analytic mind which is disposed to reasoning for happy and durable existence. Further, it is a great gain to the Vedic Scholars that the meaning of several words and expressions which have become obscure have been clearly explained and identified as an actuality. After a clear grasp of the meanings of such words and expressions the sense of several Mantras and Verses of Vedic Scriptural Texts are sure to be better expounded by the Vedic Scholars to the greater benefit of humanity at large.

The religious trend of Prof. Pandey was observed by the students and his colleagues when he used to be out at camp with them in some forest or hillside for two or three weeks every session when they had occasion to witness him for all the twenty four hours in close contact. At the time of his retirement when he was just over sixty two, they offered him a farewell which being pertinent, is purposefully given here below.

The book is respectfully placed before all people of all creed, nationality, Vedic following, non-Vedic following, the entirety of people living on the earth for cordial and blissful perusal and generous and benevolent acquittance. Brahmaņas whose very mission, as the term implies, is to know Brahma, Creator and let others know about it, are particularly requested to read the text with a critical sense of benevolence and kindly get the author know about it where felt necessary.

Further, it is submitted to the scholars of science, applied science, engineer, technologist, and such others whose attention has already grasped the phenomenon of light, solar light and heat and who have started to devise to draw energy directly from Sunlight. It is to be noted, here, that the solar heat operative through sunlight raises the oceanic and other water to mountainous heights in the form of clouds in the world and offers it to be available as water power at different heads.

Now, with sunlight, the scientist departs from the usual track to appreciate non-matter as he has been so far involved with matter, atom. Non-matter is the subject matter of the appreciation of the Creator, Supreme Being, Almighty as well with which the Vedic Scriptures deal and the under- standing and appreciation of non-matter, its faculties are the contents of the treatise placed before you, here.

Albert Einstein, the great scientist of the time, says, "Religion without science is blind and science without religion is lame". It is hoped that the great scholars of Vedic Scriptures, the learned Brahmaņa Pandita or any other misguided Vedic scholar will cease to act blindly and be graciously pleased to obtain eyes and with clear sight, be able to change himself to act up to his Vedic Knowledge.
