Though annotations in Hindi and English verses of complete eleven main Upanisads, Brahma Sutras and Bhagavad Gità comprising the Vedanta Triology have already been published by the author in three separate volumes, it was considered prudent to publish in a single volume a handbook of revised and representative selections of Hindi and English verse renderings from all the three sources and paths of Vedanta for the purposes of easy references, study, practices and meditations.
Born on 1-1-1934 in a middle class Maithil Brahmana family with a rural and agricultural background, Śri Bhawesh Nath Pathak Graduated in 1954 from the Patna College and obtained Post Graduate degree in 1956 from the P.U.
With brief journalistic stints and stray writing spells he studied astronomy and cosmology with the help of USIL and practised star-gazing. Joined Govt. service in 1958. After a few months in Educ. Dept. Bihar and then TREX in AIR he joined Jail Dept. Bihar as Probation Officer in 1959 and retired on 31-12-1991 as Principal Probation Officer. Presently writing at home.
