An exploration into the realms of spirituality and conscious- ness. Diverse perspectives of renowned scholars, thinkers and philosphers; practitioners and teachers of different spiritual traditions; writers and artists sharing their personal insights and journeys. Through introspective essays, this book delves into the profound questions that have captivated humanity for centuries. Ancient wisdom and exploring the frontiers of consciousness research. The interconnectedness of life through celebration of diversity and uniqueness. Unseen Paths is an unusual meeting ground that inspires and enlightens anyone who seeks meaning and under- standing.
This anthology, like most of my life, is a celebration of the many experiences, knowledge and wisdom that different people have generously shared. It is a meeting ground of diverse philosophical streams with the central fulcrum being spirituality and consciousness. The people who have written these essays are all deeply introspective, and the search for meaning and understanding has been a dominant force in their lives. Through these essays they give us a glimpse of the paths they have traversed. The tangled skeins of living have been disentangled to create a many-hued coat whose tapestry, with its warp and weft, represents the patterns of each life. Through these shared writings others can, hopefully, be inspired to explore their own unique paths.
I am not sure whether I sought particular writers or whether they presented themselves to my consciousness. I wanted to create a collage that explains that there are as many paths as there are people, and no path is traversed twice. This itself is reflective of the glory and diversity of that source of consciousness which we manifest in different ways and in varied measure. Through 2024, the anthology developed, seemingly of its own direction, taking me to different spaces, times and mindstates, as the journey progressed. I hope that you will enjoy the travels as much as I have.
In the long reclusive Himalayan winters, the evenings are quiet, still and cold, and often surreal. They lend themselves to an exploration that is unconditioned. This book was conceived in the winter of '23-'24, like a dream I was only subliminally aware of.
