In the absence of a universal standard for the organization of the precious non-print materials of our legacy, an attempt is made here for an orderly arrangement of the present obstreperous photo prints and negatives in the art libraries of India. Not a theory-based, but an empirical, simplified and workable scheme of Classification is worked out in lucid manner for practicing Visual Resource Librarians.
Choudhury, Ashok K. A Research Scholar, Sri Choudhury, with brilliant academic records, did both his Master's Degree as well the Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science securing First-Class-First and thereby, for the first time selected for "Banshidhar Acharya Memorial Gold Medal." His Ph.D. thesis is "The Role of Special Libraries in the field of Art & Culture in India with Special Reference to National Academies." One among the team of scholars associated with the joint project of Union Academy International, Bruxel's and Sahitya Akademi entitled "A Critical Inventory of Ramayana Studies in the World," Sri Choudhury was also a members of Book Selection Committee for H.K.M. State Library, Dept. of Sports and Culture, Govt. of Orissa.
