This study of the Traditional beliefs and practices of the Kukis before the advent of Christianity is the first of its kind. Books on the Kukis written by the British officers were mostly of Kuki origin, geneology, linguistic survey, nomenclature, etc.
The present work is a new venture attempted to unearth the rich Socio-cultural heritage of the Kukis through ages. The study combines a historical and contemporary analysis and thereby, provides the readers with a multi-dimensional study of the Kuki culture and tradition worthy of great attention.
