Swami Ranganathanandaji, Vice-President of the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission, has been disseminating Indian religion and philosophy for over four decades in the East and the West through his lectures and discourses and writings. He has to his credit a few outstanding books, mostly collection of his illuminating lectures and discourses given in India and abroad.
The Swami delivered a lecture entitled 'Swami Vivekananda and Human Excellence', organized by the Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Vedanta Societies on May 28, 1985 in the Emerson Hall of the Harvard University and the same was published in two issues (January and February 1990) of above thought-provoking lecture in this booklet form for the benefit of wider reading public and hope that it will be received well by them, like the other books of the learned Swami.
