The Sunrays series has been created by the perspiration and devotion of Priya & Sanjay Tandon and Inspiration from Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It aims at the transformation of the human heart and the gratification of the reader.
The biggest achievement for a book writer would perhaps be the number of copies sold. As far as the Sunrays series of books is concerned, success seems to be measured by the number of people who have been inspired to better themselves.
The authors' mantra for life seems to be, to test each action on this touchstone- "Will this rebound to HIS renown?"
Priya S. Tandon B.Com. (Hons), LLB is actively involved in all the philanthropic activities of Competent Foundation. These include Bi-annual Blood Donation Camps, weekly Narayan Seva (Langar) at the local temple, aid to Cancer patients, publishing books, etc. She also writes articles which are viewable on her blog.
Some of her articles have been published in Radio Sai, Hindustan Times, The Tribune, Daily World, Punjab Kesari, Thrive Global etc.
Sanjay Tandon, B.Com. (Hons), FCA, AIIA, ACMA, is a practicing Chartered Accountant and is also the promoter of the Competent Group of Companies based at Chandigarh. He is the State President of BJP Chandigarh, for the last eight years. He is on the Board of GAIL India Ltd, He is the President of UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh and a fellow member of the Senate of Panjab University. Inspired by Bhagwan Baba, he is doing many philanthropic activities under the banner of Competent Foundation whose motto is "Help Ever, Hurt Never".
The Sunrays books are purely a composite reverberation of the convergence of the synergies of love, inspiration and devotion. In putting together these books, we have felt blissfully connected to Bhagwan Baba and had the opportunity to understand the beauty of His teachings.
All our books have a picture of the Sun on their cover page. Their covers have had bands of the rainbow colours of violet, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Now the seventh book has been released with an indigo colour band. This is the last of the Sunrays series. The seven colours of the Rainbow, i.e., the VIBGYOR being completed, it feels like we have succeeded in painting a rainbow across the sky. The Rainbow or Indradhanush is a seven- coloured semi-circular formation across the sky. On extremely rare occasions, there is a complete circular formation in the sky with seven colours. This is called Brahma Dhanush..
According to Wikipedia, "...a rainbow is, in fact, a full circle, we usually only see the half are of it due to our positioning in respect to it; if you were to be positioned higher up (such as on a tall building or an airplane), then you could view its actual full circle..."
As I write this, a thought comes to my mind... with the release of this book; the half arc of the rainbow has been completed by us. The other half which is not visible is within us; it is within you and me. When we as humans blossom with good character, when we become good human beings, when we succeed in exuding the love within, to all those we come into contact with, when we become truly Baba's Premaswaroopularaas (embodiments of love); it is then that the other half of the rainbow will be visible!
Dear Readers, when we get letters from people of different communities the world over, telling us how they are using these books, to help themselves or others become better, we feel that the Rainbow is coming around full circle. It is no longer just an Indra Dhanush, it is becoming a Brahma Dhanush!
Storytelling is an important part of all cultures and as the digital age brings down human attention span, there can't be a better way to share wisdom, warmth and compassion than through short stories. By penning Sunrays Series Priya and Sanjay have compiled beautiful anecdotes and inspirational thoughts that warms the hearts while imparting values and wisdom.
Sunrays for Saturday is the seventh book of this series and like all the previous ones it's a profound collection of stories that will purposefully resonate with the readers.
