I am happy that my work "State Participation in Co-operation is finding light. State Participation in Co-operation though has assumed importance in terms of policy. Very little studies are made in this area. The State support has been in the forms of moral. administrative and financial Present study. confines to the financial participation of both Government of India and Govern ment of Karnataka to Co-operative Movement. Both the positive and negative aspects of State participation are evaluated in the present study. Constructive suggestions are offered to evolve better policies to make state's financial participation more fruitful in coming years. I like to record my enormous debt to Dr. M Madaiah, M.A., Ph.D. (S. Illinois). Professor of Economics, University of Mysore, who has spared his valuable time and ideas to prepare the present book.
