The very subsistence of every living being till it develops its own ability to locomote or survive depends upon its mother. The affinity of the child to its mother is most evident in the case of man. Mother is almost irreplaceable. At her love to her child is inimitable; she is available to every call and need of the child. Others could neglect the child but the Mother can never do it, even if the child were to forget the mother as Acharya Shankara aptly puts it, "kuputrojayetakvachidapikumatanabhavati." When this is the affinity of all creation towards its progeny, how much more would it be in the case of the Divine Mother, the source of all creation?
