When H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj was terminally ill, Dr. Athavale said to Him, “Instead of feeling that I should stay with You during Your illness and serve You. I get thoughts about writing Holy texts” Upon this, H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj replied, “Your thoughts about writing Holy texts are correct, that is a Divine mission. Anyone can serve this body”.
With the blessings of H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj, this mission of writing Holy text by Dr.Athavale is increasing exponentially day by day. These Holy texts teach Spirituality as per the present times in a scientific terminology. Due to God’s Grace and Sankalp-shakti of Dr. Athavale, some seekers of Sanatan are receiving Divine Knowledge from the subtle-this is the unique feature of these Holy-texts. Dr. Athavale’s guidance and research of God-realisation through various art forms and subjects such as subtle regions, mission of demoniacal energies and guidance for protecting humanity from them is taking place incessantly.

According to Bhaktiyoga ( Path of Devotion) intense devotion unto God is what bestows God’s grace and mosksha (Final Liberation) to those undertaking vyashti Sadhana(individual spiritual practice). Sage Narad, while elucidating on devotion says in naradiya Bhaktisutra that ‘Deep love for God itself is Bhakti’. For a devotee to reach a state wherein such intense love for God is generated, he should have an intense awareness that God exists . Thereafter, he has to develop an intense attraction for him,. This itself is known as bhav (spiritual emotion) towards God. Without bhav it is not possible to develop Bhakti ( Devotion)
Also according to the times, samasthi Sadhana (spiritual practice for the spread of Spirituality) is more important. Presently, negative energies are creating obstacles for those who perform samasthi Sadhana and Dharmaprasar ( Propagation of Dharma) God comes to one’s rescue only if one has bhav, according to the Principle ‘ God exists where there is bhav. Therefore, bhav assumes great importance for the seekers ( spiritual aspirants) undertaking samasthi Sadhana.
Majority of seekers believe that bhav is automatically generated by doing Sadhana. Although this is not theoretically incorrect, it cannot be guaranteed that this process will occur easily in everyone. This depends upon many factors, such as the objective of undertaking Sadhana, intense yearning for God-realisation, centre generated in the subconscious mind about God, actual Sadhana which is undertaken etc. To generate bhav rapidly to-wards god, it is beneficial to learn how to do it consiciously and with curiousness, and put it into practice accordingly, according to the principle that, ‘Thinking and emotions change the conduct and vice-versa’, when one constantly performs action at the level of the mind and intellect, it helps to generate bhav quickly. This Holy text explains in al lucid manner, theoretical aspects such as the components of bhav, the importance of bhav etc. while simultaneously discussing how to awaken bhav in oneself while performing the ritual of Arti ( A ritual of waving a lit lamp in from of a deity and Saints, accompanied by singing of hymns.) offering prayers and gratitude, chanting God’s Name and performing satseva ( service unto the Absolute Truth, that is God Principle) How bhav can be awakened even while performing every action in day-to day life and not only during Sadhana is also described in this Holy Text.
We pray at the Holy feet of our Guru, That for Early God realization more and more people put into practice the efforts for awakening bhav given in this Holy text- compilers [The collective preface to all the volumes of the series ‘science of spirituality-Part 1 and 2’ is given in Part 1.
